Are the Flags used in the US Courthouses "Military Tribunal Flags"?

This guy at my work claims that there is only "one official US flag" and it is the one we are most familiar with,(13 stripes, 50 stars, the basic on you always see). Okay, no big deal. Yet, he also claims, that when you are in any courthouse, they use the US flag with the golden frills on the side and the Eagle on top of the pole. He says that is a "Military" flag, and thus being in court with that flag present means you are actually in a "Military Tribunal," or something to that effect. I'm sure I'm butchering some of this, but the idea is so foreign to me, that it is hard for me to reproduce it accurately from memory.

I don't know where my period is and it is like clockwork?

I am very lucky to have a regular 28 day cycle (it's like clockwork). My period is nowhere to be found and I have had no signs of it either, it was due Dec 30 2008. All I have is white discharge no matter how much I shower or change underwear. I have always been a deep sleeper, and it doesn't take much for me to fall asleep but the past 2 nights I have woken up multiple times to pee and just could not go back to sleep. How much would a trip to amsterdam cost?

Since the most expensive part will be your airfare, and you don't mind staying in a hostel, I would definitely recommend staying at least a week minimum. The flight will be an overnight flight, and you will be pretty tired when you get there so part of that first day is shot anyway. Google "best travel store" and check their flights (I have often found them to be the best deal). I was there a few years ago for a week and budgeted about $2000, but I was staying in a c house and the value of the dollar wasn't quite as bad. And even though you are going to Amsterdam, and it's cool to just chill and enjoy their lifestyle, also be sure to take time and do the "tourist" things too like visiting some of the best museums in the world, a c boat tour, Keukenhof Gardens if you're there in the spring, etc. You will be glad you did! Oh, and I would also recommend staying around the city center area. It is a fairly compact city and pretty easy to get around in so staying in the center is optimal. And I'm not sure what time of year you're planning on going, but I have seen some really good deals going on around Thanksgiving. And if you go around spring, you could plan your visit around Queen's Day. It is a National Holiday there that takes place the end of April. It's like one big street party!

Severe sunburn burning in back not shingles help please!?

I have had this severe burning sensation in my mid to lower right in my back. Its not shingles. It may start out mild but then its so bad even my clothing hurts to touch it. This has been going on for over a year. My dr says it could be back strain but for a whole year. Plus it doesn't matter if I am sitting, laying down or standing when it flares up it hurts beyond anything else I have ever had. Thick, white clumpy discharge?

I'm 45 and had a hysterectomy in 2001. I've had thick, white discharge that looks like there are clumpy white chunks in it. There isn't any odor or itching. Do I need to Quit my job?

My youngest child will be 2 in July. He has been getting sick really easy and had phnemona not even 3 months ago. I am now a single parent (living with my mom). I had today off of work and had to take my baby to the Dr. He had to get his ears recheached (frequent ear infections that take multipal rounds of anti biotics to clear up and he has asthma that we were rechecking. The his ears are starting to get infected just after 2 days of being off the anti bitotics and his lungs did not improve like the Dr wanted so she sent me to the hospital to get the first of three antibiotic injections. I have to take him back every day for the next two days at a spacific time. I called my boss asap so we could work something out I just needed two hours off each day (which I work open to close by my self 14 1/2 hours each day. And because I told her I needed to be off at this time for 2 hours she blew up because I did not ask and there is no one to cover for me because the are all going out of town. She finally sucked it up and said she would fill in for me and then went on about all this other stuff how she fills in for me all the time and ext. Ok well first off in the 6 months I have been there I have never called in, She sent me home and another girl filled in because my daughter had to go to the ER. I did not even know what was going on till they told me to go home when I got there. The Second time I had PT conferences for my oldest and she filled in for 2 hours so I could do that then another night she send me home 1 hour early because I was peeing blood. I did not ask and that all was over 3 months ago. The big dogs gave me a 90 cent raise for only 4 months. For the last 6 wks I have worked 7am to 1pm by my self 3 days a wk then 2 14 1/2 hour days in a row by my self. And then I can't even take a brake. I am tired of working by my self and not even getting a thank you in return. My child will have to go to the Dr and or hospital almost every day for a while till we figure this out. We are trying not to put tubes in his ears due to his age but we are pritty sure we have to. And after today I do not think they will work with me at work. She stated I can not manage your family and this store. This is my boss I needed time off, there was nothing to involve her with my family. I know I should wait till I have a nother job but with my sons med problems I don't think I could do a job. Dad is not around in any way. My mom does have income so we would not be high and dry. Does anyone else put their older kids in diapers for holiday services?

At our synagogue, the kids have a seperate service that is shorter. Everyone 13 and up does the full LOOOONG service. But on holidays, everyone does it together. For these services my husband and I have our kids wear protection until they are 13. Many other parents at our synagogue do the same. One family whose kids don't wear diapers were humiliated last Hanukkah when their 10 year old boy wet his pants in front of the whole congregation. I have two male cats, ones name is Claudius and the other Hamlet. They are 6mo. indoor cats, they are brothers that I adopted from the SPCA 4 months ago with all of their shots, they were neutered as well. Within the last week or so Claudius hasn't been as active as usual and sleeping a lot more, also eating less. About 2 to 3 weeks ago I decided to start toilet training them, it's working out very well for Claudius and not so well for Hamlet. Well, I went to check on Claudius a couple of days ago to see if he was being a good boy and give him a treat for doing his business in the toilet and noticed that there was blood in the toilet mixed with mucus and diarrhea. It had me worried but I decided to wait a couple of day to see if it happened again and it did. I've knocked out the possibility of worms and Claudius eating something that he shouldn't have like plants and what not. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow regardless of anyones advice but I always like others opinions.

My rear end hase 4.10 in it, its fun to drive but it sucks gas. My brother said I should just work on the 460 like electric cooling fan, better distributors ,better carb overdrive trans. What Should I Do About My Parents?

I am an almost 16 year old girl. My parents (especially my mom) are very religious and keep me from doing things like going shopping with my friends, going to school (they force me to be home schooled), owning a cell phone, having a Myspace, Facebook, etc., and wearing shorts (that I bought with my own money) and tank tops. I don't think they treat me this way because I misbehave (i'm actually very obedient), but i'm getting extremely frustrated and its making me sick (literally). I can't drive yet and don't have any friends within walking distance. What should I do? How can I get away more often or at least get them to listen. Any advice would be appreciated, thank you.

Effects of Long Term Birth Control Pill?

I am 34 years old and I ahve been on the birth control pill for almost 20 years. i went on the pill at age 15 for pain control. i woudl be up night s curled up in a ball in severe pain, woudl miss school, work, what have you. Now fast forward a few years. Got pregnant almost 9 yrs ago and miscarried, got preganant right away again. This all happening while waiting for an appointment to have a laproscopy doen to find out if I had endometriosis or not. Never did hear from hospital about an appt till this day actually. had my son went back on the pill shortly after. Went back to the specialist a few years later again because of the sever pains, was always having cysts on my ovaries rupturing, I woudl keel over in severe pain, on the lfoor curled up like a ball crying it would hurt so bad. This happened one time in a department store, laying in the isle on the floor curled up(was my place of work at the time). this pain strikes at any given time. Went back to specialist after him years before telling me he thought i had andometriois he came to the conclusion it was ovulation and reccommended taking my BDP back to back to eliminate my period. I have been doign this for a few years and if I miss a pill i spot. I just came off of a 5 week long period, mostly continuous spotting. I have been back and forth ot my family doctor who has suggested trying different pills, depo shot, nuva ring and now I went back today for a referral to a different specialist and the doc tried to convince me instead of seeing a specialist to get a IUD. Which yet again is another form of birth control. I do not need birth control as my husband has had a vasectomy and we do not plan on reversign it any time soon. My request is going to be to have an endometral ablation done as I have heard of its successes through people I know who have not had near as many problems as I have. just wondering what your take on this might be. it was september 2002 and me and my family just moved to brighton ,from nz,my brother quickly got a girlfriend and she moved in with us within a wk shed gone a bit nuts and thought she was all sorts of things even the masire freeky this went on for a wk or two my mum was at home all day and me and my brothers were out working,it wasnt until one night when i had a conversation with her i realised she was cracking up andway she moved out but it left a real scar on my mum as shes was quite spiritual and the things my sister in law would say were satanic,my brother unfortunally stayeed with her long distance ,she moved to yorkshire,my brother moved out after a year but mum was getting worse shed cry all the time,and sometimes when i woke in the night shed be there watching me she was breaking and no one could seem to reure her we wre all there for her,in 2003 i met a guy i was 17 my mum hated him immidantly ,but studidly i stayed with him,then 3 wks lter my mum,the one person who could never ever be seperated from her kids left ,she said im going on holiday for a few months its 2009 now ive seen her once seince she left to live in asia,i miss her,shes missed out on so much my beautiful children being born shes never seen them,my wedding such important moments i want to let her go not to know her how she doesant want to know me,ive offered countless amounts of times airfare over to the uk and its always been accepted then she wont contact me for 6 months sometimes i feel like it would be better if she were dead instead of constantly making promises ,its eating me up

Has anybody else been creeped out by seeing the Queen Mary's propeller?

I just saw a youtube video of the Queen Mary and it reminded me of when I was a child and toured the ship with my grandma. I remember the dark room and a cat walk around the border of the submerged propeller in the center. The only thing that was keeping me from falling into the water and being trapped under the bow of The RMS Queen Mary was the railing around the cat walk. Not to meantion the eirey green glowing light they put that shines on the propeller. I do not know but that and the empty indoor swimming pool was way more scary to me than any of the corny ghost tours.

I have had a rash since Thursday night. I thought it was an allergic reaction to a new food i tried but the rash is still here. There are three clumps of bumps on my right lower stomach and one on my lower back. They only itch when something rubs up against it and they don't hurt unless i accidentally scratches it but the back one has a slight dull sting every now and then. The rashes range in size from a quarter to an inch long. It doesnt go in a strip but they are on the same side. Could this be shingles? I didnt have any flu-like symptoms before the rashes and no itching or pain before they appeared. Also, I took 3 doses of Benadryl yesterday and woke up this morning to fewer bumps but the ones that are still there have black dots in the middle. Also, if it is a food allergy rash, could it still be there because I keep touching it and could have possibly infected them? Oh and Im 22 years old if that helps.

Also, you mgith want to consider a bottle that limites the amount of air that gets into your baby's tummy. Sometimes, a simple switch of brand can work as well. Some kids need soy or specialtiy formulas. Soy always worked for my kids. Again, you shoul dtalk with the doc about it before you switch to another formula. You should also make sure you burp your baby every 2 ozs if she is having trouble with spit up. Holding her in a more upright position during and for a 20 mins after feedings helps too. Is our new caravan battery faulty?

We have just purchased a new Abbey Vogue 2 caravan and using it for the first time.Our new leisure battery shows it is ok (on the battery pack itself), however it seems to be charging up to about 10.5 volts but losing the charge almost instantly, even when nothing is being used. The caravan system stops charging the battery as soon as it drops below 10 volts, so we were wondering if it is more likely to be a faulty battery or a problem with the van electrics? After seeing a 99% complete 300 at a 24 hour film festival i was amazed by the accuracy and beauty before my eyes.This film is an adaptation of Frank Miller's (Sin City) graphic novel 300 and wow is it ever accurate.I am very glad to see two magnificent pieces of Frank Millers art Sin City, and 300 have successfully transferred over to the big screen without losing anything in between.Visually the film drops you off your feet and it's not even completed yet so when this eventually debuts in the theaters it will have double the impact on me as i plan on seeing this again.The mix of live action and CGI creates beautiful landscapes, gorgeous backrounds, and amazing dimension to the characters.The film's dialog is pretty much exactly the same as it is in the graphic novel much like how most of the dialog in Robert Rodriguez' Sin City was taken directly from Frank Millers graphic novel.Personally i think that 300 is the best film of it's kind.It's got a faster pace than Lord Of The Rings, is more accurate than Troy, more compelling than Tristan and Isolde, and more violent than Gladiator.This movie so far deserves the academy award for best picture and without a doubt deserves the academy award for best cinematography for the originality and sheer beauty put into it's visuals.The battles are well filmed and action packed so for those of you who want gore and violence you'll get it and you'll be satisfied.Overall this is a movie of epic proportions and deserves a lot of recognition for it's originality,visual beauty, and it's accurate portrayal of it's original source.

Ideas needed for half acre backyard landscaping?

I live in Porterville, Ca. (central California) and have half an acre of backyard to fix up. My wife and I want to have a combination of a place to entertain and somewhere to get away and relax. She wants a variety of fruit trees, I want many trees that will provide a forest-like atmosphere, trees where I can throw a hammock onto, look up into the branches and daydream. Our back porch is small and I want to expand it soon into some sort of deck in which we can have barbeque's. Im not interested in a pool or anything...ok maybe a spot for a hot-tub or something. Should i feel bad for spending most of my time on the computer?

im 19 and graduated from highschool. i dont start collage till the spring, and i recently quit my job about 2 months ago due to the fact that its over an hour away and it was really costing me money on gas. i also suffer from anxiety/panic attacks due to agoraphobia. and in november my agoraphobia really came back. i havent done much sense then. i stay at home, play on the computer watch tv. and have friends over on occasion. my family says i should go out more and do more things. but they dont know how stressful and hard it is going just for a walk around the block. especially in the winter. i dont know why but being out in the cold makes my anxiety worse. even though im stuck in the house alot, i try to keep my self healthy, but taking vitamins, drinking plenty of juices, and eating well. even though i dont go out an oversize like i usually do, i use the weights we have to keep my self in somewhat shape. but latley ive been feeling bad, like im missing out on life due to the fact im stuck inside.i really want to get out and do things, its just my agoraphobia seems to be worse then ever.. is there anything i can do to stay positive while i get though this?

yes definitely, since he has become the sole owner of some many of the federations, it seems they have become more soap opera then wrestling. i have been a wrestling fan for over 55 years now, and the golden days of wrestling were much better, you had guys who went after each other in real matches not ones that had been scripted for them. sure the moves weren't so outlandish as they are today, but the matches were great. i don't know how McMahon can call this family entertainment, as half of the things going on in the ring i wouldn't let my granddaughter watch, it has become to ual and too bloody to really be called entertainment

A few years back I made an outdoor table and used a large peice of leftover granite that was used for a granite countertop as the top. Your extracurricular activities are good. Just make sure to do well on the SATs. I think the average SAT scores of NYU students are 2100 or better. But NYU also emphasize essays. Try thinking about experiences that you can write about that are unique. Also, research NYU and specific programs and professors and include those information in your essays if you can. Kinda a long story but I need some feedback..?

So I could tell for the last couple of days that something was on my girlfriends mind. We have been friends for years, dating for a while and are very serious. We have picked out a ring and and looking to get engaged this summer. Last night I asked her to tell me what was on her mind. She confessed that her ex, father of her child, had texted her late last week and told her how sorry he was for having treated her so badly, how much he regretted never listening to her, how he was sorry he never supported her or got involved with their child. He also told her that his current girlfriend is just a distraction for him and that he misses her. While they were together he cheated on her several time, stole money from her, made her leave the house to study because he wanted to be loud, he was an all out ***. She told me his messages did mess with her head a bit, but she said only because she doesn't want him to hurt...said she wouldn't want to be the cause of anyone hurting. I told her his actions are what have caused him regret and what caused their demise. They broke up about a month before we got together. So I appreciate her telling me everything that was on her mind and I think she was totally open...I don't worry about her going back to him ever, but it bothers me he can still hurt her. What would you do/think? I am going to be there for her and offer her advice when she needs it, but I don't think we can move forward until she can get let go of his emotions having such an effect on hers.

I'm not sure I completely agree with the other posters. I'm 59 and sure I get nostalgic for the old days at CBGBs, the Mud Club and many other places, but if you go to Brooklyn there are more cool clubs than ever, just not in Manhattan. I miss having friends living in artists lofts in SoHo, when there was almost no shopping or tourists but now I know plenty of artists in Brooklyn and Queens. Cities change, but NYC has always been expensive and trendy almost by definition before SoHo was an artist district it was the Village and when that got too expensive people moved to SoHo and TriBeCa - now its Brooklyn and Queens. If your cool you will find the part of the city you belong in, then or now. Low crime is always a good thing. I will miss Cony Island though, but most of what I remember is long gone and they do have a baseball team now - and the ocean isn't going anywhere.

Ok so ive been on birth control pills for 3.5 year and it does a good job on regulating my period but lately over the past week I been having some symptons that seem like they may be pregnancy but im not sure. I just went to the doctors early last month for a pap so before go back to the doctors this month I just wanted to know if anybody else had the same symptoms. Im usually get gy easly after a meal but I dont really burp often. Since Monday I have been burping everyday even without eating anything all day, I have been having these weird twinges in my stomach and on my side and sometimes it feels like pulling, again even after not eating all day. Then I had a couple of really sharp pains in my and now they are more frequent but less painful and have been having lower back pain on and off all day. It also feels like I have mild mild cramps on and off through the day along with headaches that come and go quickly. I am so confused. I have taken a preg test and it said negative but it still could be to early. I must also mention I do once an awhile miss a pill but douple up the next day. My period isnt for another 12 days..........

How long does it take most aritist to finnish a painting?

It varies...I tend to paint in what my artist friends call a "marathon sesson" where I paint for eight or so hours without stopping until the painting is almost complete...then I might touch up some areas the next day that were overlooked. Other artist will be much more disiplined and they will only spend a couple hours a day on a canvas thus they will finish it in more time, but they still will end up spending as much time painting but over a longer period of days. It also can varay a lot depending on the physical size of the canvas, and as you may guess the bigger the canvas the longer the artist has to spend on covering that size with paint. It is something that is so elemental but as an artist myself when I worked on a four foot by nine foot canvas I didn't realize this factor until I was well into it. That canvas took me a month to finish. I painted on it every day too, but I was working on detail and I used quarter inch wide brushes so you can figure that it took a long time to cover that much area with that small of a brush. Needless to say, I haven't gone back to painting on that big of a canvas again.

My vote goes to Faith as well. She's more talented IMO, more country, has worked her way up AND stayed in the game while having and raising her children. I never understood why Shania got so much credit for making her "comeback" after leaving the business for a few years to have her family...Faith did both at the same time (stayed in the business and raised her girls) and did them excellently. Plus, Faith has a zillion more CDs out that Shania and every one of them is great, I hardly have to skip any tracks when i pop those in.

Yes, I sometimes felt bad for Draco. I don't believe he was as evil as his dad. I feel bad for him when he's standing there with Dumbledore, he just can't bring himself to kill Dumbledore. I don't think Harry had no reason to hate him- he was a jerk even when they were 11. I don't know if they ever would have been friends, though. I'm sure Draco is not as much of a bully as he seems, he just needed a friend (not yes-men sidekicks like Crabbe, Goyle and Pansy) Yeah, I knew Sirius was related to Draco- all the pure bloods were related one way or another.
