Why does my surround sound speakers crack and pop when changing the channel?

Sometimes if you push the components against the wall it will damage the optical cable, or sometimes this will happen during installation once that happens even if you pull the components away from the wall the optical cable is permanently damaged, optical cable cannot be bent, if you need to push the equipment up against the wall get an optical right angle adapter, more than likely you will need a new optical cable...
