What would be the moral dillemma in this poem?

not exactly sure, but it reads as though he is not sure about killing germans and defending england in war . He states -I hate not the germans nor do i grow hot with love of englishmen. This could cause a moral dillemma. fighting for something you love (England) and having to fight someone you don't hate(Germans). Good Luck.
