Does anyone else put their older kids in diapers for holiday services?

At our synagogue, the kids have a seperate service that is shorter. Everyone 13 and up does the full LOOOONG service. But on holidays, everyone does it together. For these services my husband and I have our kids wear protection until they are 13. Many other parents at our synagogue do the same. One family whose kids don't wear diapers were humiliated last Hanukkah when their 10 year old boy wet his pants in front of the whole congregation. I'm wondering: is diapering kids for holiday services common with other religions too? This question is for Christians and Muslims but also those whose religion is "OTHER."
