Why are my dreams so morbid?

As long as I can remember, I've always had bad dreams. I die in most of my dreams. My friends and family die in a lot of my dreams too. If we aren't dying I usually end up murdering the people I hate. I don't know why I have these kind of dreams. My dreams are very vivid and graphic. I've been shot, slaughtered, pushed off of cliffs, eaten alive, electrocuted, smashed, stabbed, and any other ways you can think of dying. I've also been teased, d, and hated by both strangers and people I know in my sleep too. I used to commit suicide to wake up when I was little. I have never had anything that traumatizing actually happen to me before. And about a month ago my dreams got even worse. I started dying 3 or 4 times in each of my dreams. Can anyone explain to me why this is happening?
