Wow. Tough call. Sounds like he does like you but is too shy or holding back for some reason? Is there some reason why you can't just ask him out? It is 2007. Anyhow, it sounds like it could go either way - he likes you just as a friend or maybe more. Maybe he's not sure himself. The only way you two will ever find out is if you take the chance and date for a while. I doubt your friendship would be damaged much by a few innocent dates. Sounds like you're practically dating already. Take the plunge. Take a risk and see if something comes of it.
