How many ways are there to leave your lover?

Anyone care to list the ways you have broken up with a significant other, with the least amount of acrimony or collateral damage? I'm especially interested in the opinions of men who broke up with women, although women may chime in if they'd like. And please specify whether you were breaking up your marriage, your unmarried long-term relationship, or your unmarried short-term relationship.
